We're two friends who met in college and never really stopped hanging out — or making things together. Burner Mason is what happened when that turned into a little lip- and hand-care line we make ourselves, by hand, in Washington.
It started for a pretty simple reason: we wanted lip and hand care that actually felt good and actually worked — without a mile-long ingredient list or a label doing all the talking. We couldn't find it, so we started making our own at home, in small batches, testing everything on ourselves first (and on every friend who'd hold out a hand).
We keep the ingredient list short
Plant oils, butters, and waxes — the kind of thing you can actually pronounce. No synthetic fragrance, no filler, nothing in there to bulk it up or pretty up the label. Just the good stuff that's actually good for your skin, and then we stop. (Yes, that means it's a little plain-looking. That's the point.)
We make the things we wanted in our own bags — and we're picky.
It took us over a year to love it
None of these were first tries. We reworked them through real Washington winters and summers until each one earned a spot in the lineup: a Winter Balm that won't go stiff on a freezing walk, a Summer Balm that won't melt in your bag in July, an everyday balm for in between, a lip oil for that glossy-not-sticky shine, hand salves for day and night, and a sanitizer that leaves your hands soft instead of tight and cracked.
It's still just the two of us
No warehouse, no team, no office — this whole thing runs out of a bedroom in Washington. We make everything in small batches and keep it that way on purpose, because it's how it stays good.
